History of Kenya safari.

After breakfast, depart to Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive, check-in, followed by lunch.

Maasai Mara (Masai Mara) is known as Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserve, situated in southwest Kenya. Famous for the abundance of lion, the Great Wildebeest Migration and the Maasai people, well known for their distinctive custom and dress, it is without a doubt one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations.
Maasai Mara National Reserve stretches 1,510 sq km (580 sq miles) and raises 1,500-2,170 meters above sea level. The terrain of the reserve is primarily grassland and riverine forest with clumps of the distinctive acacia trees. It’s about 270 km from the capital city Nairobi and takes about 5-6 hours by road or 40-45 minutes by flight.
The Maasai Mara Ecosystem holds one of the highest lion densities in world and this is where over TWO MILLION Wildebeest, Zebra and Thomsons Gazelle migrate annually. Its hosts over 95 species of mammals and 570 recorded species of birds.
After breakfast, drive to the Great Rift Valley and onto Lake Naivasha. Lunch on arrival at the lodge. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Have an early breakfast and proceed for a day trip to Lake Nakuru National Park with picnic lunches. Return for dinner.

Lake Naivasha is fresh water lake located in the Kenyan Rift Valley. The lake is home to a variety of types of wildlife including over 400 different species of bird and a sizeable population of hippos. The fish community in the lake has been highly variable over time, influenced by changes in climate, fishing effort and the introduction of invasive species. The most recent shift in the fish population followed the accidental introduction of common carp in 2001.[3] Nine years later, in 2010, common carp accounted for over 90% of the mass of fish caught in the lake. There are two smaller lakes in the vicinity of Lake Naivasha: Lake Oloiden and Lake Sonachi (a green crater lake). The town of Naivasha (formerly East Nakuru) lies on the north-east edge of the lake.
Depart after a leisurely breakfast to Nairobi. Lunch at the “Carnivore” or “Handi” Restaurant for Vegetarians. Transferred to the airport for your return flight.
